I’m a chemistry instructor with 15+ years of teaching experience and more than 10,000 hours of one-on-one tutoring. I hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry and a B.S. in Microbiology, and I’ve taught in college classrooms, high schools, and my own thriving tutoring practice.

When I was a student, I was overwhelmed by my STEM coursework and struggled to keep up with the material. Everything went too fast, the long lectures were not conducive to keeping me engaged with the material, and as lovely as the TAs were, they just couldn’t provide enough of the help I needed.

Are you worried about what happens if you fail or have to withdraw?

I withdrew from gen chem my first time, because I was failing. 

But that’s not where my story ends. And it’s not where your story ends.  I wasn’t going to give up on my hopes and dreams, so I found the resources and a way to pass the course. 

And now I have a Ph.D in organic chemistry. 

My goal is that you’ll succeed the first time.

If you’re anything like me, it doesn’t all come easily to me. In fact, as someone with ADHD who speaks English as a second language, chemistry was hard. But what has unlocked the subject for my students - and what I know can do the same for you - is the clarity that comes when chemistry is taught with you in mind.  

When chemistry formulas are broken down into small, understandable chunks, in a language and in a format that is easy to understand, anyone can learn difficult material.
